🚨 Illegal Vapes Seized in Evesham 🚨

This morning, officers from the Evesham 

Safer Neighbourhood Team, supported by Response officers and Trading Standards, attended four premises on Port Street, Evesham as part of ongoing efforts to tackle the illegal supply of vapes.

A quantity of illegal vapes were seized, and investigations are continuing.

🚫 What Are Illegal Vapes? 🚫

From 1st June 2025, it became illegal to sell or supply single-use (disposable) vapes in the UK. This is part of a government crackdown to protect young people and reduce environmental waste.

🔍 So, what makes a vape illegal?

❌ Single-use vapes sold after 1 June 2025
❌ Vapes with excessive nicotine levels or non-compliant packaging
❌ Products not approved under UK regulations
❌ Vapes sold without proper age checks or through unlicensed sellers

💡 Why the ban?
To stop the rise of vaping among children
To reduce litter and environmental harm
To ensure only safe, regulated products are available

📢 Retailers caught selling illegal vapes face:
Unlimited fines or jail time for repeat offences
Product seizure
